About Teknic :
Teknic was established in 1971 as a small plastic-processing unit, supplying engineering plastic components to PHILIPS India. Ever since, the company has developed expertise in many facilities.
Having developed an in-house expertise in processing of Plastic engineering components. They decided in 1978, to enter into the field of electrical / electronic control gear products. It was decided to first develop the 30.5 mm Control and Signalling devices and then the 22.5 mm series. This was inspire of the fact that Multinational companies like Siemens / Larsen & Toubro / Cutler Hammer were already in the market with these products. They introduced the 30.5 mm devices in 1980 and 22.5 mm devices in 1984. They have pleasure in stating that they are today the leaders in the control gear field in India. They also manufacture elector-mechanical devices, such as Circuit Breakers for Equipment (CBE), Micro switches, Rocker Switches, Slide Switches and Terminals for application in all kinds of Electrical and Electronic Circuits.
In their manufacturing activities at Mumbai, Bangalore and Goa, they employ in all around 600 persons.
The company has followed a careful marketing policy. Personal visits to customers all over India to demonstrate the technical features of their products, systematic advertising, participation in Trade Fairs have enabled them to popularize their products among st a large cross section of clientele in India and all over the world.
Quality Standards :
Their products & processes go under three stages of testing namely In coming, In process & Final, before coming in the market. Sampling method of testing is carried on as per the rules laid down by IS 2500. Constant monitoring over the products is laid down to maintain the quality of the products. Products of all types are tested for mechanical & electrical endurance H.V. Test & IP Test on regular basis.
